related transaction or direct SQL statement issued in
the database which violates defined audit criteria to
validate that compliance controls for SOX and
SOD requirements are in place and effective. It
facilitates the immediate remediation of any violations
detected. Its automated approach reduces or may
eliminate the need to undergo costly quarterly “control
effectivity” reviews by auditors in favor of annual
reviews. It maintains a meaningful, secure and
comprehensive audit trail to support compliance

An audit user may quickly define audit configurations

database table records and columns (DML or Database
Manipulation Language)

to database objects, like tables, views, functions
or procedures, across one or more schemas (DDL or
Database Definition Language)
- identify who, when
and what changes were made, both at the database and
application levels
